apple
bite crisp apple
bittersweet memory
taste of autumn childhood
just here
just here, just now
focus on stillness
calm mind, big space
fate
swallow flies over carefree meadow
sweeps left to meet windshield fate
arcs to rearview mirror asphalt landing
Maxwell Settlement, May 22, 1999
venus disappearing behind a hill
chorus of peepers
whip-poor-will
Megawatt smile
stops
megawatt smile..
straight from the heart
no reason, no guile
the pain
her long-dead mother
told her she hated her (in 1932)
the pain is still just under the surface
affirmation
we are not isolated egos
we are waves on the sea
of the present moment
alley wall
2 a.m. alley wall pee after stones 72..
turn and watch 4 streams join
and flow down centre of pavement..
only the mescaline, but we 4 felt
it was something mystical, unifying --
even profound
deep water
something about
deep water
fear inspiring.. but alluring
earl grey
brew earl grey 2 minutes
sugar. sip
transcend time and space
earwigs
earwigs on my pillow
mosquito-bitten knuckles
fitful, sweltering, summer, balcony slumber
feelings apocalyptic
monster, rolling, gray weather front
from Scarborough to downtown
feelings apocalyptic
love story
mentally challenged young woman smiles, as exits I-90 washroom stall
says, Hi!", holds out arms and embraces startled stranger, Julia, first in lineup
spontaneous and open Julia hugs her, pats her gently on the back, releases her
to her group and goes about her business
blessed
monuments
mankinds folly:
building monuments
to impermanence
summer holiday
yellow half moon high over cedar silhouette
oh how I love Jesus, faintly across the water
beaver splash near far shoreline
t-ball girls
t-ball girls scramble after tumbling ball
cumulonimbus high in west
perfectly silver-rimmed by setting sun
two children
two children entranced
by lush underwater world sliding by under canoe..
imprinted for life!
